Excitement

from where it comes
wherein it goes; this

flutter – putter
tingling – tickling
trembling – tumbling

moving in joy, shaking in joy
dancing, singing, crying in joy

tell the world
at the same time
hide it away

lest it fades away, or
choose to flee away

ever fearful of its sunset
always mournful of its goodbyes
for keeps it never is, for ever it never stays

Alas,
how to hold on to it forever
make it last unto forever!!

Reema Ashabir

Reema believes in fairies, stardust and life beyond. She is an avid reader and loves to lose herself in historical romance. She has been journaling since childhood, so far all her writing has been for herself.  When not writing and fulfilling her career dream in a two-decade long IT industry with a good book and piping hot kadak Chai in a quiet corner of her house. She loves to visit libraries and sit among books for hours.
